Granite is extremely proud to announce our new Medical Director, Dr. Charles Ampadu, MD.   Dr. Ampadu is an internist affiliated with multiple hospitals and health systems in the area, including Memorial Hospital-Belleville, HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, and Touchette Regional Hospital.  He recently filled the medical director position replacing Dr. Louis Gary who passed away suddenly earlier this year.

He completed his undergraduate education at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago in Biomedical Science, then to the University of Illinois College of Medicine for his medical education. Dr. Ampadu completed both his internship and residency training at Cook County hospital in Chicago now known as John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, a Fellow of American College of Physicians, a member of American Society of Internal Medicine as well as American Medical Association. He has more than 20 years of medical experience receiving multiple awards including Leading Physicians of the World and IL Top Docs in 2018, 2019 & 2020.
